Film Festival Open Submissions

The film festival season is in full swing. Here is a rundown of Christian film festivals and associations that have open submissions to their festivals and events.

168 Hour Film Project and Festival– The 168 Hour Film Project is a short film is a speed filmmaking competition where contestants get 168 hours to shoot, edit and complete post on a short film. Entry deadline is July 28, 2025

Christian Family Film Festival– Held August 1 and 2, 2025 at the CARRIAGE HOUSE CINEMA during the oldest town fair in the USA in Ellington, NY. Entry Deadline is July 9, 2025

Christian Worldview Film Festival– Started in 2014 CWVFF encourages Christian Filmmakers in their Biblical worldview and the craft of filmmaking. The annual event features 3 days of networking and training at the Filmmakers Guild and 2 days of film screenings at the Film Festival. Entry deadline is October 1, 2025

International Christian Visual Media (Crown Awards)– The longest-running faith-based film awards, recognize and promote the very best in indie Christian movies, documentaries, shorts, educational, music videos, foreign films, and more!  Finalist will be announced during the ICVM Storytellers Conference and the awards show will be during the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Media Convention. Entry deadline is July 1, 2025

International Christian Film and Music Festival–  Offers a vibrant platform for creators to showcase their faith-based and family-oriented films, documentaries, and music. Entry Deadline is December 15, 2025
