J.R. leads Big Room Sound, a Toronto-based post-production company specializing in sound design and mixing for film and television, and is widely respected for his sonic craftsmanship across more than two decades and 100+ productions.
He’s also is the writer and director of the film The Stranger. This short drama that tells the story of Doug Nichols, a missionary with Operation Mobilization. Based on a true story and inspired by the truth that character comes before competence, “The Stranger” is an honest, light-hearted and meaningful picture of what it means to truly serve others.
